3D Printing Stoke Space's Nova Rocket | Day 3 #space #rockets #spaceflight
Day 3 of 3D printing Stoke Space’s Nova rocket on a 1:60 scale. Today we are printing the fairing mount and the heat shield. We’ll be doing this using eSun Silk Silver PLA, with a 15% lightning infill. This print used up 60 grams or 20 meters of filament and took a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The heat shield is the widest part out of all of them, with a diameter of 12 centimeters or 4.7 inches, and having completed this print means that all we have left is to assemble it. The holes on the bottom of the heat shield is actually where the thrust chambers of the engine are, and if you want to know more about this interesting design choice I have a video on my channel explaining all you need to know about Stoke Space. Join me tomorrow when we finish the build.
I like space, rockets, and spaceflight.
