Day 4 of 3D printing Stoke Space’s Nova rocket on a 1:60 scale. Yesterday we completed the final print, which means that we can start bringing all the pieces together. I started off with the fairing mount and the fairings themselves, which was kind of rough because I forgot to check my tolerances, but after some tweaking it did fit. Then we have the main body of the rocket and the heat shield, which slid right on, and i then glued them together with the first good epoxy glue i could find in our shed. Then I put on the legs, and this was really scary because the legs are very fragile, but luckily it worked out. Once again, put a bit of glue on there and its on there nice and tidy. Lastly I mated the main body and the fairing, once again, added some glue, and it’s pretty much done. So there we go, this is Stoke Space’s Nova 3d printed on a 1:60 scale. I might put on some decals in the future, but for now this will have to do. Comment below what other rockets i should 3d print.
I like space, rockets, and spaceflight.
