3DMark 2020 - RTX3090 PCIe Bandwidth Test
Firing up the classic 3DMark again, here we are with one of their newest benchmarks in the past couple years - a PCIe Bandwidth test! While perhaps a bit more unintuitive compared to the beautifully created demos that 3DMark is known for, this is a neat way to somewhat visually see a representation of how much data is passing through the bus and bandwidth of the GPU. Of course, recording involves CPU, GPU and disk IO so while I achieve in the mid 11GB/sec range with recording, the bandwidth available increases to nearly 13GB/sec on a standalone test. Neat. It will *also* be neat to see eventually, if moving to a PCIe 4 or 5 based board will generate tactile results beyond pure benchmarking synthetics.
