1995 and I'd had seven fantastic years with my Amiga but the scene was dying.... I'd avoided the consoles all this time but admitted defeat and accepted it was time to move on....(this was early '95 before the PS1)
I decided my first console would be the 3DO after playing a few games at my friends, I think it was Road Rash that convinced me, I loved that game. My friend had bought his 3DO at launch and had a good income so he bought loads of games, which he would borrow me so I had access to a lot more titles than I could afford back then.
The 3DO had a bad press for being overpriced, not living up to the hype and having a lacklustre games library but amid the myriad of shitty FMV games, which there was many, there was a few decent titles. For instance 'Out of This World'(Another World) with its digitized hand-painted backgrounds, new sound effects and phenomenal music score created specifically for the system.
Anyway, here's a few games that floated my boat back in the day.
