I am doing a relatively casual playthrough of Pokemon Radical Red only using Bug types that have a BST (Base Stat Total) of 400 or less.

The fact I even won this fight is a miracle in of itself. It took me seven months to begin to finish this video. It truly was a pain in the butt to do. I am not beating any masochism allegations.

Aerodactyl:
This thing is reason 1 why it took so long for this video to come out. It is terrifying because it has Rock Slide that can KO most my team. Yanma only outspeeds at +1 Speed, so... Detect was vital. So was Hypnosis, actually. If it didn't land, it would be a reset, so thank god it landed. Charjabug manages to get the true KO on it. It has Unnerve, and Rock Slide, Dual Wingbeat, Aqua Tail and Iron Head. Almost nothing outspeeds it.

Hypno:
So here is Reason 2. Dark Void is nasty. It is why I do some chip with Shedinja and use Detect turn 1. Sleep is an absolutely horrible creature. It pairs well with the Unnerve Ability that Aerodactyl has, meaning no Rock Berry and no Chesto Berry. At least due to the Sleep Clause as long as one Pokémon is asleep, it cannot use Dark Void again. It has Dark Void, Psychic, Knock Off, and Shadow Ball. It has Bad Dreams as its ability.

Granbull:
This one wasn't that bad. It's added Fighting type means that Air Slash is super effective. It's Intimidate would be scary if anyone on my team was a Physical Attacker. It has Drain Punch, Temper Flare, Play Rough and Psychic Fangs. Beautifly can take care of it quite easily.

Obstagoon:
This guy is easy assuming you don't screw anything up. It will always go for Knockoff first, even if it is burned. Because of this, it is easy to exploit but risky. It has Flame Orb Guts Facade so it is dangerous in that regard. Facade, Ice Punch, Sucker Punch, Knock Off. It will prioritize Knock Off over Facade for some reason. Luckily it still takes Burn Damage.

My rules are simple:
MGM Mode
Base Radical Red Difficulty
Bug Type Pokemon Only
All Bug Type Pokemon must have a base stat total equal to or less than 400.
