(4k) DJI Pocket 2 Night walk. Wellington CBD NightLife (NZ). April 2022.
4k night walk through what nightlife looks like in Wellington Central CBD, New Zealand. From April 2022. The DJI Pocket 2 has a larger sensor than iPhone and Samsung flagship smartphones. Experience the NightLife of inner Wellington CBD streets including Taranaki Street, Courtenay Place, Te Papa - The National Museum of New Zealand, Dixon Street, Cuba Mall, and Manners Street. Wellington is the capital of New Zealand.
3 Largest cities in New Zealand in 2022:
... Auckland (largest, over 1.6 million)
... Wellington (2nd largest, 381,900)
... Christchurch (3rd largest, 363,926)
Note Christchurch was the 2nd largest, but since the large Christchurch earthquake from 2011, some of these people have relocated to Auckland or Wellington, making Christchurch now the 3rd largest city, behind Wellington and Auckland. Christchurch is still a good place, pst... its flatter than Wellington.
Pros about the DJI Pocket 2:
... Pocket sized 4k gimbal camera, offers smooth, uncropped 4k video recording.
... Easy to use, doesn't draw attention to yourself.
... Ultra Wide 20mm built in lens. Capture more content in frame.
... Large 1/1.7" sensor, larger sensor than iPhone & Samsung flagship smartphones.
... DJI has one authorized store in New Zealand, located in Auckland.
... Cheaper than a flagship smartphone and DSLR/Mirrorless camera.
The struggle is real carrying a heavy gimbal for a DSLR/Mirrorless camera, or even your phone. And carrying such devices around will draw attention. Its no wonder walking videos have become a trend on YouTube, and how many YouTuber's are turning to the DJI Pocket 2. Which offers the best of both worlds. Granted night time footage is better with a 1" sensor camera, or a camera with an APSC or full-frame camera, but that adds bulk and a complicated gimbal setup at a higher price. However, such cameras have poor IBIS (In-Built Image Stabilization) and require a gimbal if you're walking or running. I have a Sony a7c full-frame camera, which is perfect for recording in a stationary position, night time events such as shows or fireworks. But if you are on the move, the DJI Pocket 2 offers convenience and something better than the tiny sensors included on flagship smartphones.
Enjoy my video :)
