(4k) Walk, through Khandallah. Starting off on Burma Road, through Station Road, Cashmere Avenue, Agra Crescent, and Ganges Road home to Khandallah's shopping centre. Khandallah is located some 6km North of Wellington Central Business District. It is serviced by the No.22, 24, and mostly No.25, Metlink bus service routes. Khandallah has a population of approximately 8,850 residents. Slightly more than Island Bay.
Khandallah has good public transport. With a variety of buses operating on a half hour schedule, or you can pick the train, which operates on a half hour to hourly frequency, with higher capacity than buses. Khandallah unfortunetly does not get the double decker buses, but they do have a choice of buses AND trains, where as eastern and southern suburbs of Wellington don't have a train option.
