5What is this? This is a 4x AI upscale further refined with some manual edits and generative AI. This is a preview of some areas for those who don't want to watch the playthrough. Meticulous care was taken to preserve the original look while greatly enhancing the quality so no, not everything will be shiny as some things are meant to look rough or blurry two examples are the slides at the beginning are not meant to be sharp and a sandy cave floor will not be smooth but all textures will look natural and how intended but with high detail and quality.
When it it be released? Maybe a month or 2 on ModDB once I finish enhancing the DLC and playthrough the entire game and correct any issues. I should start the playthrough in a week or 2. Links to the mod will be on pinned comments of all the videos.
How big will it be? About 25GB but might be reduced if there are consistent issues.
Was anything not done? Sky, water, most effects, tiny distant LODS and most normal, mask, glow and specular maps.
What mods are you using? Mod Organizer 2 for automatic archive invalidation, NVSE, 4GB Patch, YUP Patch, NVAC and JIP Patch and forcing 65fps through NVIDIA control panel.
Are there any known issues? Due to the high quality and under certain conditions and texture load, some textures look black (they don't load) as you will see in the Tops Casino and Vault 21 near the end. I might reduce some of the strip textures (or add an optional reduced texture pack) as that is a heavy load but sometimes a reload will fix or quitting and reloading but my playthrough will test stability too and if I see that after an hour consistently black textures show, then some will be reduced. Some issues come from DDS textures not extracting properly or converting properly and the playthrough will check for that as well.
