"Resident Evil" is the 2002 remake of the original game and was remastered in 2015 for modern plattforms. This game took the franchise back to it's scary roots and also added entirely new sub plots and locations to the game. The entire story is more fleshed out, the characters received better development and many of the original's puzzle's got improved a lot. Even while the game was released in 2002, it's graphics still look very good today and the pre-rendered backgrounds are some of the most beautiful of all-time. With this remake Shinji Mikami proofed again, that he is a true master of horror. It is one of the most beloved games of the franchise and it is actually very creepy.
An amazing remake of a classic, which turned into a classic on it's own. One of the best horror games of all-time !
