This video was edited with Powerdirector. I have contacted the developer because if you import the video it offers to make a 1080p copy. I'm not sure if it actually exports the 1080p clip or if it only uses that for performance and mixes down the uhd clip. If it exports the uhd clip then you should actually be able to do 4k video editing with video layers as well! I'll update when I get a response.

Oh and the main reason for all the crashing was in fact the screen recording. I edited this video just fine with no performance issues.
