Burned Land is an intriguing 4x medieval-themed turn-based strategy game that focuses a lot on exploration so as to discover new civilizations a.k.a. trade partners or points of interests & capture iron and stone deposits, which you'll most definitely need to advance your city to the next level. The gameplay can feel rather tedious though with you being only able to make 1 Civil action per turn and 1 action (movement or attack) per unit. Since the game doesn't have any tutorial, it can be hard to understand how the game features work. For instance, after spending almost 2 hours on it, I still can't figure out how to impose taxes on my burgeoning population. I also have no idea how to stop population growth or how to allow my units to sail across the water tiles. Due to this, I'd say the game requires quite a bit of patience to play.
