4x4 Evolution 2. Part 1. Racing mode #1
Game: 4x4 Evolution 2
Year: 2001
Platform: PC
Developer: Terminal Reality
Publisher: Aspyr
Just a note about the video on this game: if the race is long, then I leave only the first and last (or last two) laps in the recording for more convenient viewing.
Cups: Amateur Series, Heavy Metal Series, Four Wheel Drive Spec Series, Summer Series
Car: Dodge RAM 1500
The game has two modes - races and missions. Let's start with the race mode - it's very long (a bunch of cups of varying lengths to complete), so first I'll complete all the cups that will be open for the first car (in my case, it's a Dodge RAM), then I'll move on to more specialized cups with specific restrictions.
The game has the "4x4 Evo 2: Revolution" modification installed and, unfortunately, it both improves and worsens the game. Namely:
1) Plus - the game began to support high resolution with an aspect ratio of 16:9
2) Plus - adds additional tracks to the game (in the career there are none in any case) and cars, and also changes the cost of some tuning parts (plus adds some additional parts in different categories)
3) Minus - the game is adequately capable, with this modification, to work only in OpenGL mode, since in Direct3D Hardware T&L mode it has a problem with shadows and in Direct3D mode it does not work at all
4) Because of the OpenGL mode, the vegetation in the game is constantly glitching (mostly grass, with trees everything is more or less normal) and water...
5) Minus - broken wheels on all cars and you will see this in my videos. And there’s no way to fix it!
