512 - Weather Stopping Glitch in Black and White! Stop the Sandstorm in the Desert Resort
A little bit of a different kind of video that I made just to spread the word about a glitch I stumbled upon while hunting Maractus/Sigilyph in the Desert Resort on Black/White. Here's a writeup!
This seems to work with ANY overworld weather (rain, hail, sandstorm, fog), and it might be very useful for shiny hunting since it saves time by letting you skip the weather animation every battle!
In order to perform this glitch, save in the place where you want to perform it, let a month pass (or change your DS calendar 1 month forward so the season changes), then boot up your game, and without leaving the area, get into an encounter. If you did it correctly, the weather should be gone until you leave the area and the season changes!
This is pure speculation, but I think it has something to do with the seasons changing, since the save was made in one season, and as soon as you change areas, it will change to another season. While the game is in this state before it changes seasons, getting into any sort of encounter appears to stop the weather, even in places where the weather is supposed to be there permanently.
It's worth noting that I only managed to make this glitch happen on Black and White, and not Black 2 and White 2, since it appears the developers noticed this oversight and fixed this glitch.
Now I'm really not sure if this glitch is something that everyone already knew, but I couldn't find too much about it searching for it other than people observing that it had happened to them as well. Feel free to experiment with this some more and let me know if you might know more about this!
