9Delaying any longer is just asking the Alien forces (and the game itself) to keep punching us right on the chin. We're ready; after some last-minute sale of critical items that are probably better off in Project Storage, we can afford the last of the lategame tech, and just in time.
The use of the Gollop Chamber by our volunteer, Colonel Theo 'Strobe' Zervas, causes the entire invasion to grind to a halt, and the world to nearly stand still... as though the enemy are waiting for the next move.
Well, we give it to them. Operation Avenger, the assault upon the Temple Ship itself via infantry in the Skyranger, is a go. Deadbolt's loss is keenly felt, but we can still assemble a team of absolute badasses for the attack. Each one is peerless in their field and prepared to sacrifice whatever is necessary to ensure the freedom of this planet.
