5E D&D Rogue Sneak Attacking From From The Shadows| 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons Classes
Thug, sneak, scoundrel, cut throat, or thief call it what you will, but in 5th edition dungeons and dragons the rogue character class is the undisputed king of the underworld. 5E rogues get more skill proficiencies than anyone else in the game and are the only class that get's sneak attack as a class feature. Like the fighter the rogue also gets a gish option with the arcane trickster roguish archetype. There is the traditional all around thief type archetype along with the assassin option as well for building the kind of rogue you desire. Personally I'm hoping 5e D&D will release a thug type option so sneak attacks can be done with weapons other than range and finesse weapons.
