6 Tasks to Automate on your Android smartphone NOW
6 ways you can increase productivity on your Android smartphone
Tips to get you the most out of your Android smartphone
Automation is not as complicated as it sounds. There are some features that you can enable immediately without doing a lot.
First is to set up automatic backup of your photos and videos. This will do 2 things.
Free up space on your Android smartphone
Have your photos and videos always backed up and never lose them. They are always available for you to access since they are backed up on Google photos.
Get rid of unlocking your phone when you are home
You can add your home as a trusted place. Go under settings and tap security - click on Smart Lock & see the options available. The one that you are looking for is called - Trusted Places. You can basically instruct your phone that whenever you are connected to your Wi-Fi then that means you are home and that unlocking is absolutely not required. That’s it. It’s as simple as that. And the minute you disconnect from your home wi-fi, unlocking would be required.
Set up Do Not Disturb times
You can go into your sound settings and then into Do Not Disturb setting. While you can always immediately turn it on through the settings toggles, but you can schedule it.
For e.g. I’ve scheduled it to turn on everyday starting 10 in the night to 7 in the morning - that’s when i’m sleeping.
Get directions and time to home in a single tap
Go into your widgets section & scroll down to where it says Maps. I’m hoping you would have Google Maps on your phone already.
Then it will open up the maps app and ask you which destination would you like the directions to! And once you key in that, you’re all set.
Simultaneous posts to Social handles - facebook, instagram and twiter
While I understand snapchat and instagram stories is big with all social media fanatics out there. But if you are still one of those who click photos and want to post it on facebook and on instagram and on twitter - then buffer can do it one shot for you.
Simply install the app and connect your profiles which can also include pinterest and linkedin. You can create one or multiple posts and schedule it go live on multiple platforms that you select.
