Short Synopsis: I clean the separate bricks by throwing them in a pillowcase, tying a knot, and placing it in washing machine on cold with just a bit of detergent. (Don't wash sails!)

Long Synopsis:
In this first of 2 Tutorial Tuesdays, I'll be taking apart a Lego Pirate Ship...the Skull's Eye Schooner...released in 1993. I am a Lego Pirate fan, so I just couldn't let this awesome original set suffer any longer. The results at the end are excellent!
I had been eying this set in my friend's living room for years until he finally sold it to me. I promised him I'd take care of the model, so that's what I'm attempting to do here.

In the second part, I'll be cleaning the sails and re-assembling the model.
