Motion Blur in stop-motion animation is very hard to replicate. You either need to move the models while the picture is being exposed... ( A technique called Go Motion developed for Star Wars)

...or today you can add various effects in Post-production.
I observed that The Lego Movie was using (digital) bricks to indicate blur when a character was moving quickly. If you pause the scene when Wildstyle first appears in the construction site you'll see what I mean.
In this shot, I attempt this for one of the first times in my experience. I think it comes out quite well.
