After suffering a crushing defeat and eventual retreat at the Battle of Ov castle 10 Summer, 1088. Mychael's band of the Raven spent the summer amushing Sturgian war parties trying to recoup their losses, imprisoning their nobles and commanders.
Come the fall, the Valandian trap was set. The Sturgians, in an attempt to rescue their noblity from Kranirog's dungeons, laid seige to the castle. Servic's army was sent ahead to soften and prevent the escape of an army led by Simir. The band of the Raven was held in reserve while King Derthert's main force approached unseen from the south.
When the reinforcments arrived and joined the fray, Simir's forces were swept from the battlefield.
Mychael's Ravens then rode south to Gersegos castle to deposit their hostages from the battle and recuperate...
