Instead of being foolish fools and going after a GIGANTICALLY INSANE DRAGON THAT COULD KILL US INSTANTLY OMIGOSH!... We take the long way around to the Tower of Doom™. Whiiich ends up taking us through a gauntlet of badness and then an INSANE BEHOLDER THAT COULD KILL US INSTANTLY OMIGOSH!
I almost feel like the dragon was the better choice, here.

Heyo~! This is another run of Tower of Doom choosing the OPPOSITE path options! This way we'll be visiting lotsa new places! Also, now I'm a Cleric, and Jo's a Dwarf.
This is pretty much 1000% a blind run with my friendly friend, YuuGiJoou (Check'em out here!: https://www.youtube.com/user/YuuGiJoou ). I knew there had been some D&D arcade games, but didn't know much about them. Turns out Tower of Doom and its Shadow over Mystara are kind of a beat'em'up type of game, like Streets of Rage! But with RPGish elements that make it feel Dungeons and Dragoney! Cool~! These were both originally in the arcades in the 90's, but have been repackaged for game consoles more recently.
In Tower of Doom you can collect coins and treasure to spend in shops later, and daggers and bows and hammers and burning oil to throw at enemies. There are also "experience points" items, like books, but in this game all that basically counts as is your "score". You go up a set amount of levels automatically per stage. There are also special equipment items like gauntlets of ogre strength that change attributes for your character, but they seem to break a little easily especially if you're new at the game.
You can block, though it's a little wonky, by holding attack and then backwards. Crouching is REALLY wonked up, but... serviceable. You'll see us manage it time to time. Apart from that, you attack. Jump. Switch items/magic. And use items/magic! Easy 'nuff! The game manages to make attacks feel pretty fluid and cool, so you can pull off some neat stuffs. Fun-fun!
Adventure, ho!

Captured in 60 FPS straight from the PS3! I made sure to set the settings so that there weren't any wonky smoothing filters being used, and stuff like that. All good!
