22Waking up stranded in the middle of nowhere, with just a few basic items in your inventory, you can't recall anything, that happened before or how did you
get where you are now. Your memory is clouded and you struggle to remember anything but the basics. The land surrounding you looks and feels out of place with mostly ruins, abandoned or undead infested buildings with just a few outposts, that have somehow survived and have some traders willing to trade for profit. Without any memories of your previous life or who you were, what you knew, you have to relearn everything from the ground up if you are willing to survive in the undead legacy, that humanity has left behind. One thing is certain, the world will never be the same as before, because undead are ruling the world now. It is up to you to decide if you are willing to struggle for survival or give up and let your body join the hoards of the undead roaming the lands.

Undead Legacy development started during A14 of 7 Days to die and first stable release of the mod came out in 4th November, 2017. It's developed by 1 person - Subquake with a little help of other community members in terms of localization and translation assistance for the mod. Main inspiration of development was the lack of deep crafting because of changes that came to be with games Alpha 13 release, that removed a lot of items and intermediate items, that made crafting much more simplified as well as the change of the user interface. Vanilla games UI felt very boring and too simplistic, which lead to the user interface development on top of the mod itself.
On top of the above mentioned reasons, it was alson inspired by several other games: Fallout 4, Fallen Earth, Sheltered, Project Zomboid, XCOM, Conan Exiles, Heroes of the Storm and others.
