#8 Extinction - Chapter 5: Ties that Bind
5Extinction is an action game developed by Iron Galaxy and published by Maximum Games. In here, the setting focuses on the time the Kingdom of Dolorum is in its last stand against the invasion commenced by the Ravenii army (composed of species of powerful gigantic monsters with the same name together with its smaller varying breed of soldiers, the Jackals) intent on sweeping up the last of the human race. Defending arguably the last of humanity, you will be using Avil, a sentinel who has mysterious powers and skills to fight against the gargantuan invaders. Assisting him in terms of planning is Xandra, a friend and protege of his. Together, the two must come through a big struggle and challenge in order to avoid the inevitable extinction looming close to their land.
Although the game had promising expectations with its decent gameplay trailers and comparisons to the Attack on Titan Games, the game was considered a disappointment upon release. Even though praise was given to its fight mechanic against the hulking Ravenii's, huge criticisms was focused on its over-priced pre-order's, DLCs, some gameplay glitch and bugs, and its short storyline campaign. I had the same issues in the game, although I could say that its gameplay is decent at most, its the only aspect of the game which I found positive. Everything else was awful. Still though, an ok experience to those who like Attack on Titan games. Enjoy!
