8" Floppy Drive Restoration (YD-180): Part 2
After giving most parts a thorough clean, it seems that I managed to get it mostly back together.
A couple of small ICs have rusty legs and so might be good candidates for pre-emptive replacement: a pair of SN75472P and an SN75462P (all dual NAND peripheral drivers).
The Koike 24VDC 147007-02 solenoid still seems seized after several doses of RP-7 ... will try WD-40 next ... otherwise ... ? I've not found an equivalent part available so far.
However doing some research ... "The Y-E DATA YD-180-1601 is identical in construction to the QUME QumeTrak 242!"

The DC power connector appears to be available still:
AMP part 1-480270-0
So I think the next thing I will try is powering the drive (+5VDC for the logic and +24VDC for the electromechanics) to see what blows up, as well as continuing to try to free up the head solenoid.
