8 kills in U-69: 3 sub, 2 DD, 3 BB

Started with 2 sub kills. U-69's slow torpedoes are much better at homing for sub vs. sub fights. The team was behind on kills, and was being capped. After damaging a BB, moved back to base to face a Fubuki, torped him before he could get on top of me. Turning around, a T-61 was heading straight towards me. I had enough HP so I decided to surface to nullify his depth charges, and torped him at point blank range as he turned. Now we are still behind on kills, us having 2 subs with the enemy team having 2 BBs + 1 U-69 left. In essence though the BBs have no chance fighting the subs, so it is more like 2 vs 1. Was about to chase the BBs when we were capped by U-69. Since he has to surface to cap, I remained submerged and detected him first, pinged and shot my torps. Don't know why he didn't get a tracking on me, but he got sunk. We just had to mop up the 2 BBs to finish the game off.
THe few things I learned, slow torps are better for homing, go head on with DDs and torp them on surface looks like a strategy worth more testing, and watching torps hit BBs under water is amazing.
