In 1938, National Allied Publications published an anthology comic, with one of the stories being written by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. That comic was known as Action Comics #1, and the story they wrote was about a man with superhuman abilities, known as, Superman.

Since then, Superman has become one of the most popular superheroes out there, Action Comics has reached 1000 issues, and this year marks the 80th anniversary of Action Comics #1.

And with a Superman movie slated for digital release in the next week or so with a physical release to follow in August, I figured that I would talk about my memories/history of watching Superman and what he means to me.
