Nerdy News: http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2012/04/08/85-million-days-of-halo.htm \nIs Notch being a little harsh or has being unlike EA really been the secret of Minecraft's success? Does the tennis twist on Super Mario Bros. pique your interest? Would you watch an animated series about Angry Birds?\n\nMinecraft creator Notch Pearson wrote this awesome tweet in which he basically calls out EA. He said that the less like EA his company, Mojang, is, the better. He ended it with the hashtag #nooffense but I think hashtag na na na na boo boo would be more appropriate. But Notch has every reason to be pleased, Minecraft has sold 5 million copies and has 25 million registered users. Now he wants to make a new Sci-fi game. I say, go for it! His new game is going to be a set in a futeristic alternate demention, in space.\nIn the year... two hundred eighty-one trillion, four hundred seventy-four billion, nine hundred seventy-six million, seven hundred twelve thousand, six hundred forty-four AD. Now that'd be one heck of a year to randomly wake up in.\n\nThe upcoming game Mario Tennis Open looks pretty interesting. It might look a little on the basic side at first but it will have a minigame that looks really cool. It might sound weird but basically this minigame will allow the player to play the original Super Mario Bros. by hitting a tennis ball against a wall. Ok. When you see the actual gameplay it looks fun. The ball acts like Mario himself, breaking blocks, picking up power-ups, and popping enemies. I think this is a great way to tie together a classic with the newer Mario games. And I think it's pretty awesome that a game that is even older than me still gets some love.\n\nAngry Birds has exploded and immersed itself as part of modern culture all around the world. Some might call it the Tetris of our generation. But Tetris never got it's own TV show. I would totally watch that show. Anyway, seriously though, Angry Birds is going to get their own animated series this fall. We all know a movie has been in the works for a while now but a TV show is another matter. If it does well, it could potentially make a lot of money and boost the Angry Birds brand even more. Personally, I hope they delve more into the story, Like, why are the green pigs always stealing those eggs? Why are the pigs green? These are questions that need to be answered.\n\nPassing the Halo torch from Bungie to 343 has bee frought with changes and anxiety for Halo fans. To commerorate the end of statistic-traking in halo games, Bungie released these stats: Over the past eight or so years, gamers have run around killing each other in more than 20 billion games of Halo. Halo ODST remains the most popular title for fraggin', with more than 11.5 billion games played since September 2004. Time-wise, all this Halo activity represents more than 123 billion combined hours of gaming.\nRoughly more than 85 million days. All of these Halo firefights resulted in more than 136 billion kills. More than the total estimated number of human beings that have ever lived on Earth. Holy nunchucks, Batman.
