Short Horror Saturday gets rolled into Long Horror Sunday. We finish STORIES UNTOLD, and while I like thestyle and the way that episode 4 wraps up the other sin a larger story, I'd only recommend it with caveats, and not necessarily to stream. Some puzzles demand a walkthrough and are too hard--to this day I can't find the confirmation codes for the frequencies in Episode 3 in the game. There's some obtuseness as you try to put in text commands. Then, at one key point, the game makes a stylistic choice to switch to red-on-black text, fuzzy with additional distortion. It's not just fully-colorblind me who found it difficult; chat couldn't read it either. I had to zoom in to 6x and struggle to piece together key words. Too bad. In a lot of ways it had good horror and good production values.

I'm too tired after that, which took a good while, to finish the more traditional point-and-click adventure HAUNTING AT CLIFFHOUSE. We make progress though. ESP tests? More ghosts? A man who doesn't want us there? A strange old "Seahag" with a raven familiar? Lost treasure? Tales of an old crone who steals and eats babies? BREAKING AND ENTERING? Yes, all this and a jigsaw puzzle to boot draws us further into the mysteries of Cliffhouse, both past and present. We'll finish it next week. And chat can make more jokes about Devil's Club, which is a plant oil and not a heavy metal nightclub, in case you were wondering.
