Went from the middle of the game to the start of the very last level, but Lollipop Chainsaw has continued to be a blast. Stage 3 was probably the weakest overall in terms of its pacing and gimmicks, but everything after really did pick up quite fast. The more I've thought on it, with all the James Gunn touches this game has, the core concept is something that I could see still working really well even if it had been worked on by a different group of creators (or you know, if Suda was actually hands on with it like his other titles). Like it works well either as a western, grindhouse inspired romp or a more Japanese, over the top 70s/80s styled manga. And now that I've made that comparison, who do I have to commission to draw Lollipop Chainsaw in the style of a Go Nagai manga cover? I feel like that's money on the table not being utilized.
