99 Vidas Review PS4, PS3 and PS Vita
1399 Vidas is a typical brawler. It’s the tried and true formula with a different package. And at this point, no matter how many reskins of brawling games we get, it’s always a good game. It’s the same with 99 Vidas. I don’t think I have to explain the game mechanics to you. You move from left to right, beat everyone up, pick up weapons from the ground, use combos to beat everyone up. In the game there are 4 playable characeters. They have visually distinct attacks but essentially all characters move the same. What I have to praise in the game are the creative bosses. Bosses aren’t just slapped together. They have different attacks and looks, and are charming. Also along your journey you can upgrade your character’s abilities. That way the game doesn’t feel monotonous at all. The game is constantly evolving. Not only visually, but gameplaywise too. You get new enemies which require new strategies to beat, you get new moves, the game manages to keep itself fresh.
So that’s about it what I wanted to say about the game. I think I’ve shined a little light on this title. Enough for you to have an idea wether or not to get the game.
