After finding what's supposedly left of Snake in room 3, we return to the hospital room to reunite with the rest of the group. The brutal murder does make us question the motive behind this entire game. The group of suspects is limited. Who can we still trust?
999 (Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors) is a visual novel adventure game by Chunsoft that initially came out in 2009 (Japan) - 2010 (North America) for the Nintendo DS. In 2017 a high definition remake was released under the name Zero Escape: The Nonary Games bundle (PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Microsoft Windows), which bundles 999 and its first sequel Virtues Last Reward. It is the first game in the Zero Escape series, consisting of 999, Virtues Last Reward and Zero Time Dilemma.
We are Junpei (or "Jumpy"), a somewhat goofy college student that was kidnapped and wakes up to find himself in a ship's cabin. Together with eight other people, he has nine hours to escape the ship by solving escape rooms in a game that can kill.
This game tries to balance Visual Novel and Escape Room gameplay to tell a curious story where you can make your own decisions to either succeed or horribly fail. While the game has multiple "endings", it is required to play the different paths to be able to reach the one "true ending".
Enjoy some 999 gameplay in this let's play/walkthrough! How long before I fall into sarcasm and despair? Nobody knows...
