Lately I have been all about the Konami arcade games and games on their late 90s era 3D arcade board platforms...and one of its must unique is Silent Scope 2, and while I own the game on the Konami Hornet PCB the controller setup whole controller setup is giant, cumbersome and I don't own it!. Retro gaming and video game collecting can be like that sometimes. Good thing it randomly got ported to the PS2 then!

Silent Scope 2 and the entire Silent Scope franchise is a very interesting and unique retrogaming experience; Konami really thought outside the box with what they could do with this retrogaming genre and gave you a game in arcades where the second screen was in a sight scope. Sega may have been the king of the genre with the likes of The House of the Dead, Gunblade NY and LA Machineguns...but Konami could really hold their own! Its a bit of video game history!
It's everything the original Silent Scope was but bigger and better! Sadly the arcade cabinets are getting rarer and rarer so its good we have something like this from the video game preservation side!
Luckily the game got ported to PS2 and the original Xbox, but sadly the Xbox version needs the screen brightness turned up so much for the lightgun to register shots that the game is basically a washed out mess! So PS2 with mouse support is the next best option!
But if you guys want to see Silent Scope 2 played on real hardware and how to set it all up leave me a comment and I will work on it! I need to know the demand is there because it is NOT an easy task!
Sadly Hornet emulation is a no go in MAME currently. Emulators can't handle everything but hopefully one day!
