Welcome to the first episode of my new LP! I'm going through Silent Hill for PlayStation, a game that I've never finished before. I've gotten about to the end of the school, which, frankly, isn't that far in at all.

Silent Hill is a masterpiece of audio and visual dread. Compared to the static camera angles of Resident Evil, this game uses 3D backgrounds and a moving camera to add to the disorientation. The sound design is incredible, with jarring ambient sounds adding to the terror! Visually, it uses metal, gore, and darkness to create a horrifying atmosphere. The creeping horrors here aren't unseen like in Lovecraft!
