If you're a long time fan, you know that when it comes to my music videos, two bands have really been the inspiration for me to continue doing so: Bon Jovi and Linkin Park. And if you're a very long time fan of my channel, it's obvious that the later had a bigger impact earlier on in my editing career.

I was never a big Linkin Park fan, outside of one time in Middle School when a friend gave me a Linkin Park bracelet because he didn't want it anymore, and I took it as the coolest thing that year by far. At least considering it's the only thing I remember from that point in my life. But I did grow up in my early High School years listening and understanding the narrative behind the songs. Fortunately, never truly in the sense in which I knew exactly what the songs were about at heart, from experience, but they always had a relatable tone to them that was easy to follow and relate to. And of course, it had a major beginning influence on my channel, which was around this time during the first semester of my Sophomore year in High School.

Hearing the news of Chester Bennington's death shocked the world, fans and occasional listeners alike. While some people could see the signs over the years of an event like this occurring, no one was truly prepared for it. I know I wasn't.

The first few days were of grief, the shock factor. Then I became 'numb' to the feeling of it, in a way. But for whatever reason, however it happened, I found myself watching Linkin Park after coming home from work tonight. Interviews, fan tributes, the final concert. I thought about maybe remaking my 3rd video on my channel, from all the way back on April 13th of 2012 if you can believe it. But with this song having so much meaning to the situation, I thought that there was no other song to truly tribute Chester Bennington.

Perhaps this will be the resurgence of music videos on my channel. Maybe it will be the last. As with any music video I make, if I am not in the mood to make it, I don't. But when I am, subconsciously, I simply click on my editing software icon and before I can really realize what I'm doing, it's done. And this was one of those moments if there ever was one in all of the music videos I've made thus far.
