A common Caro-Kann opening mistake that loses games · Training Game
There's a weakness all Caro-Kann players know is often lost due to white not being careful - the d4 pawn. It's often a poisoned pawn and taking it means immense initiative for white, but sometimes it's simply blundered away, as was the case in this game. I grabbed the pawn and managed to defend against several threats, getting a winning position. And then I got into time trouble.
