A Dark Fantasy Action Adventure Cinderella Story | Twistales demo
1Hello everyone! Another demo that is not part of the Steam Next Fest. This is Twistales and it currently is in a pretty early stage of development, but you have a taste of the intro and then a taste of how combat will work. The game basically feels like a moder Alice: Madness Returns, if you know what I mean. A Dark Fantasy game based on a fairy taile.
The graphic design and animations are fine, although it needs some huge optimization (it looks nice, but it doesn't look that great to be using that much gpu), the scenario is too dark and some enemies are hard too see, there are still a couple of bugs, some pretty nice abilities, but the dodge attack is not working. Also, this is supposed to feel like a hack & slash, but the main character's attack feel a bit slow and the enemies go from 0 to a 100 too fast, so it is really hard to land combos (that and the fact that the dodge attack is broken right now). Movement feels fine and the I really liked the goddess kinda skill.
Sadly, I didn't try the other secondary skills, because I didn't realize I could change the active one (they showed me the controller setting for that one and then I forgot to try it).
It is still pretty rough, but there is a nice idea going on here.
