As previously mentioned, we've paid close attention to your feedback regarding the voice-overs, and will deliver final voice-lines in English, German, French, Spanish and Chinese. 💬
Studio Director Jürgen tells us about the process of creating the perfect Commandos voiceovers:
“Before we started writing the script for Commandos: Origins, we put together the character biographies for each of our Commandos, based on the original games. Every one of the Commandos has an individual background with experiences that have shaped their character and skillset. And this is what also needs to be reflected in the way the character talks. The Green Beret, for example, is a tough guy who speaks very directly and a bit rough, whereas the Sniper is a more silent and precise character, just like his profession. Once we had written the voice lines, the character biographies were used to cast the speakers. We were aiming for a good fit between the characteristics from the biographies and the sound of the original speakers. And, of course, we took care that our Commandos feature some of their most iconic voice lines from the original games, often referred to as ‘grunts’.”
