Middle Earth: Shadow of War is the much anticipated sequel to Shadow of Mordor, both developed by Monolith Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive. This new instalment expands greatly on the original Nemesis system, it provides more challenge via the Nemesis Difficulty, more Uruk variety through its new Tribes feature, and also implements very light RPG mechanics with loot and equipment for your sword, dagger, armour and hood. The overall story covers a back and forth between Celembrimbor and Sauron, it also includes various other characters, one of which being Shelob the Spider....who isn't entirely a spider in this game, but oh well. Overall, despite a certain new addition of microtransactions souring the taste in a lot of people's mouths, the game manages to knock it out of the park with the Nemesis system, which was and is arguably the entire selling point of the game.
