Hitman Absolution is not a wide-open sandbox game per se, but nevertheless in most levels you are not confined to one single narrow path, one single way of solving the level, nor one single strategy to use. There are often several completely different paths you can take to get to your goal, and you can do so in different ways. You can try a completely stealthy approach where no enemy ever even sees you (this is usually the approach that awards the highest score), you can eliminate the enemies in your path stealthily (enemies never spot you), you can shoot your path clean, or you can even clean the entire level of enemies if you want (although this usually gives the lowest possible score). Even the stealthy approach has several options you can use: You can either go without ever being seen, or you can use a disguise and fool the enemies into not recognizing you (but this has severe limitations, as your "instinct" is consumed, and once you run out of it, enemies will get a lot more easily suspicious and eventually see through your disguise.)

This kind of variation and availability of options is great, but it has a somewhat dubious side-effect, especially when it's combined with the fact that enemies are often slow to react to you. (Although this could quite arguably be realistic.) The thing is, some, if not many, of the levels are almost trivially solvable if you know how. And in fact, in some cases you can get to the end of the level pretty easily even in your very first playthrough.

This level is an example of exactly that. The level is relatively large and complex, and there are quite a lot of paths and options you can use (there's even a sniper rifle at the beginning of the level, hinting at and offering one possible option.) But when I first played it, I discovered that you could basically just walk to the end with little to no effort, making the level even disappointingly easy. (Although this is probably good for speedrunning.)

This video is not from my first playthrough, but a showcase I made later to demonstrate this.
