I remember the first time I saw this ending, it actually made me feel kind of down, because it marked the end of new and exciting exploration and adventure in this game that I loved so much. In the time since then, I've learned to appreciate having a defined endpoint with closure. This might be part of the reason that I abandoned so many of the games I started playing when I was younger without finishing them, because I just couldn't deal with the idea of being done.
