A sidescrolling runner game. In theory it's rather simplistic, you auto-move and you have to avoid getting smacked by objects on your way to the end. Music and sound is really excellent in Runner2, just the way that the music and the level are connected and the way that the chimes when you duck under an enemy or collect some gold join with the background track works really well.

I'm just playing on the normal difficulty and having a bit of a hard time of it now that I've gotten to the second world. There is a harder and easier version to try out, not sure how much it changes the level but right now it's still just about doable. The checkpointing seems to be getting further apart now, not sure if that's because the level is actually longer or because there's just more stuff to do before and after the checkpoint. Either way that alone is making it harder to get through these later levels. Maybe later on there'll be multiple checkpoints or they'll do different things, for the moment one checkpoint is just about right but if the levels get too much longer it's going to be just as infuriating as the lack of any checkpoints was in the first one.
