Table of Tales: The Crooked Crown is a RPG tabletop game, but not no ordinary tabletop. This table is magical and is animated and ever changing. We are given this magical tabletop by our Aunt, and play it in her attic. The surroundings feel that of an attic, and make you feel like you are sitting in front of the table playing. The animation and formation of the table is just amazing and really shines in VR.

The game begins with a mechanical talking bird telling the story, and introducing us to the scoundrels we will be playing as. The game uses turn based combat, with the use of cards and dice to fight. The story is well told and the controls and combat feel really good, keeping you playing. The game also use choice matter decisions through out the game affecting the story. This gives the game great replay able keeping things fresh and new. Also as you progress through the story, you will get chances to unlock new abilities and levels for your characters, making your band of scoundrels even stronger.

I am not into board games of any type, but feel in love with this game. I was so into the game, I lost track of time. The story and gameplay is good and will appeal to many, even if you are not into board games. If you are into to board games, RPGs and great story telling, this is one VR experience you do not want to miss.

Table of Tales takes VR and tabletop games to the next level. This is one game I am happy I took the time to try.
