Gaming legend Al Acorn saw the potential in Pong when the arcade prototype was brought to a local pub. When Al came back to empty the coin reservoir, his eyes lit up! Pong was a money maker.

He convinced his bosses at Bally not to invest in Pong because Al was planning to start his own company and wanted to capitalize on his hard work all for himself.

By 1972, Atari was founded, Pong was officially in the arcade, and the rest is history.
