As someone who is still currently facing depression, I want to explore what it is like for a game designer to integrate the experience of depression into a game. I expected this playthrough to be depressing but also eye-opening and relieving. It shows that I, myself and others, are not alone when facing this and that the struggles and demons we face are really just the tricks of the mind. Anyone can struggle with depression but it's that struggle that makes us stronger each day. We are capable of change and perhaps we should see depression as something like a milestone to overcome rather than a curse or self-pity we put on ourselves.
