This is a remake of the 8-bit version of Sonic The Hedgehog for the Sega Mark 3. I was hoping that this would be the greatest Sonic game of all-time, but sadly it has issues. For one, Marble Zone is incomplete as there are areas that look like they're unfinished. Heck, there are even signs showing that they're indeed under construction. I'm not sure if the zone is left like that on purpose or if they're still working on it. Another problem is skidding. Right as you skid, at the same time you quickly press the other direction on the D-Pad. This will cause your character to continue skidding forward slowly until you press the other direction. Then there's Spring Yard Act 3. Even when it looks like the blocks fully reappear, you can fall through them if a frame of animation doesn't go solid. It's a minor thing, but is still weird. Then there's Scrap Brain Act 3, where a few paths can lock you in with no way out. The game is a bit too easy as well. It's a good remake, but could use more work.
