Extra Credits recently released a video saying that games shouldn't be 60 dollars. To do inflation and the price increases triple A companies must charge more then 60 dollars. There not wrong in some ways, the games that the triple A industry make might need to have a price increase to avoid another star wars fiasco.

That said there is a flaw in there argument that we gamers always want better graphics, and 4k resolution and bigger games. Umm do we. I can count at least 5 games that I have seen on multiple top 10 lists, Cuphead, Zelda, Doki Doki Literature club, Sonic Mania, and Mario Oddessey that kind of blow this idea completely out of the water. And when you consider all the other problems that come with the triple A model maybe Megadimensional Neptune VII is right it's nothing but a senile old man who's time has come and gone, best too just humor it and ignore it.
