2Back at it with another Project Silverfish Hardcore run, this time with
only 4 lives! I genuinely felt like I was playing smarter in this
session—learning the map, understanding the factions, and getting the
hang of the early game loop.
I was feeling pretty good about this run and was collecting some great
loot... but this game has a way of humbling you. A few hard-learned
lessons, including one involving a scarecrow, sent the run completely
off the rails and led to an exciting conclusion at my own faction's
base.

Here's a quick rundown of how this Hardcore 4 Lives custom run works:
Basically, the number of lives I have is also the number of items I get to keep when I die. So, I start with 4 lives. If I die, my life count drops to 3, and I can only choose 3 items from my previous inventory to bring with me into the next life. Everything else gets dropped where I died, so I can always try to go back for my gear if I'm feeling brave. The whole challenge ends for good if I die with only one life left.
