A Small Test of Metro Exodus Enhanced
If you are wondering how I have a railgun, it is a New Game Plus. I re-ran this game on the original version due to corrupted save shenanigans and started this run on Enhanced, and yes, having the railgun on the first open level is about as goofy as it sounds.
Anyway, needed to test NVENC recording stuff for later (I may or may not have made a pre-purchase on Steam), decided to mix that with a test of Metro Exodus Enhanced because I've never actually used the RTX part of my 3070 Ti, outside of quick tests of Quake II RTX and Amid Evil.
I'm kind of surprised Metro Exodus Enhanced runs as smooth as it does. I'd heard that it is more stable than the original, but I didn't really believe it until now.
. . .
Anyway, I dunno what I wanna put in the Wednesday slot yet. Will probably be mostly empty until I settle on something.
Was maybe thinking of doing something that isn't an FPS, mostly for variety, but haven't really landed on anything.
I was originally going to return to Dead Cells, but the most recent update kinda made me really disappointed after I got forced into a cursed biome Clock Tower due to how the Stilt Village works and not being able to actually see whether the exit I picked with the village key had a curse icon above it, which led to one of the most unfair sequences I've ever had with that game, so I'm done with Dead Cells now.
It's a shame because I liked everything else the update had, but the larger focus on the curse mechanic makes the game unenjoyable for me, as I never really liked the curse mechanic to begin with, so having biomes I normally go to be effectively locked off due to them being cursed biomes, or being forced to go into those cursed biomes (as mentioned above with the Stilt Village), it just makes me hate the curse mechanic even more than I already hated it.
Maybe that will get addressed at some point, but I highly doubt it due to the circumstances surrounding that update's release.
