Well, at least the midpoint comes after the slowest section rather than before, but I still feel like the level's too long.

The on/off concept is interesting, but from what I remember of the scrolling section it's not always obvious when you're supposed to switch the platforms. In addition, there are plenty of empty areas with no enemies and there's a bit too much claustrophobic spike dodging for my tastes. The third area fares better, I think.
