A TEST OF TACTICS | Battlestations: Pacific™ | Playthrough: Episode 3
U.S Navy & IJN face off in the south region of the Solomon islands...
Santa Cruz:
In an attempt to drive Allied forces from Guadalcanal and nearby islands and end the stalemate that had existed since September 1942, the Imperial Japanese Army planned a major ground offensive on Guadalcanal for 20–25 October 1942. In support of this offensive, and with the hope of engaging Allied naval forces, Japanese carriers and other large warships moved into a position near the southern Solomon Islands. From this location, the Japanese naval forces hoped to engage and decisively defeat any Allied (primarily U.S.) naval forces, especially carrier forces, that responded to the ground offensive. Allied naval forces also hoped to meet the Japanese naval forces in battle, with the same objectives of breaking the stalemate and decisively defeating their adversary. - Wikipedia
Battlestations: Pacific™ is an action and real-time tactics video game published by Eidos Interactive and developed by Eidos Hungary. It is also the sequel to the 2007 video game Battlestations: Midway. It was released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 worldwide in May 2009.
This Episode was quite difficult in regards to anticipating what the units will respond to when given orders via the tactical screen, so apologies if it is slower paced than usual but i did try to keep attacks swift and ensure counter attacks are denied as fast as possible.
