With its easy to read Pixel Graphics, you might not think so, but the excellent use of sound, and the real line of sight makes every area you scout feel intense and immersive, and dangerous, as bandits could round the corner and blow you away, or a wolf pack could gang up on you and take you down, or a wild boar could come tearing out of the trees to rip you apart.
As I said, Zero Sievert is intense!
Gameplay wise, Zero Sievert feels like a top down Stalker, all about Exploring and Surviving whatever zone you travel to, as each area is randomly generated, so you never know exactly where the action is.
Only that is in the zone, somewhere, so be on your guard!
Death is not a big deal though, as you respawn at the railyard, just before embarking on your ill fated journey.
Just a bad dream survivor stalker dude!
Intense and Immersive Sandbox Survival gameplay is what you’re getting here, with the dual goal of keeping your character supplied, and alive!
Keep your character healthy, fed, watered, rested, and rad free, and pack whatever ammo and supplies you need, as death can come quick in the zone; I recommend at least 1 water, some food to eat, some meds, and plenty of ammo!
When you start, there are 5 standard loadouts to choose, with different starting guns and armor, as well as a fully loaded test option for those who want it all!
Don’t forget to equip your gun and slot your meds before you head out!
So, you picked your zone type at the railyard, then arrive, and set to scouring the zone for whatever goodies you can get your hungry survivor hands on, meds, ammo, components, meat, guns, all to haul back to your base for selling and crafting.
Yep, crafting and base building is in as well, with the focus on both Gun Customization, and improving your base.
That’s right; upgrade your base as you cobble together things to make your pad a nicer place to crash at, as well as craft in!
Make a Kitchen to craft better meals, an Ammo Reloading Station to fuel the hunt, or a gym to pump the iron, (as your character gets PLENTLY of cardio out in the zone).
And you can store your goodies at base too, and there are vendors there too.
Zero Sievert is so good!
